We know that the holidays are quickly approaching and for most families that means sitting around the table with lots of food to enjoy. Others are nervous to approach the holidays because this year has been difficult so any chance to save a few dollars truly makes a big difference. And no matter what situation you're in, make sure to take advantage of the annual clearance sale on so much local produce and other items.

The DeVries Fruit and Veggie Roadside Stand (The Friend-ly Farm) is hosting their annual clearance sale this Thursday (November 5) through Sunday (November 8) from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. As they will be closed for the season at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday until June of 2021.

There will be some good deals on items and plenty to go around as the mention that I saw on social media said for everyone who comes to plan on stocking up for the winter months.

You can expect to find: Roasted Green Chilies, Apples, Potatoes, Winter Squash, Pie Pumpkins, Onions, New Crop Pinto Beans, and lots more

There will be locally made honey for sale, jams, cheese, salsa, and pickles for purchase as well.

The annual clearance sale will be taking place just north of Montrose on Hwy 50 between mile markers 85 and 86.

You will be able to pay in cash, local checks, debit or credit cards, and EBT.

Please remember to support local as much as possible this holiday season as this year has been difficult for many of our neighbors. Whatever we can do to help out, including purchasing more locally made products and produce truly makes a big difference.
