Forbes Names a Colorado Company as a Top Midsize Employer
Last month, a Fort Collins company received major recognition from Forbes Magazine, for being one of the top midsize employers in the entire country for 2023.
Woodward Inc. was founded in 1870 by Amos Woodward under the name The Woodward Governor Company. Now, it's become a company known around the world with its headquarters located in the heart of Fort Collins, Colorado.
Since being established in the late 1800s, Woodward Inc. has become a global leader in its important industry of aerospace and defense. The company is an independent designer, manufacturer, and service provider of control solutions for the aerospace and industrial markets. Employees working at Woodward are frequently responsible for large-scale projects such as designing aircraft engines and industrial turbines, maintaining control systems, and focusing on power generation. The business also supplies equipment to the military. As a whole, the company is working to create a cleaner, decarbonized world we're living in.
The contributions, thorough manufacturing, and complex projects that take place at this Fort Collins company are so impressive. Just in 2022 alone, Woodward Inc. had $2.38 billion dollars in sales, in 14 countries around the world.
The Colorado-based company landed at No. 65 on the list of Best Midsize Employers, out of 500 companies.
This is actually the second year in a row Woodward Inc. was named as one of the nation's top employers by Forbes. The magazine's annual results are based on a survey with data collected from more than 45,000 laborers across the country, in a variety of fields including education, insurance, financial services, and healthcare. The companies that were selected all have a staff of at least 1,000 employees or more. On the survey, employees were asked a range of questions aimed to demonstrate their satisfaction while on the job. Some of these evaluation questions included things like rating the willingness of recommending that respective job to friends and family, and what positive and negative factors add to that specific place of employment.
