Five Things To Do To In Grand Junction To Celebrate Spring
Temperatures in the Grand Valley are expected to reach into the 70's this week. So it's time to shake off the winter blah and plan on getting your spring started. Here are five things you can do in Grand Junction to celebrate spring!
Play Golf
There are a number of great courses here, so why not get the clubs out of the shed and get out on the links? Redlands Mesa, Tiara Rado, and Lincoln Park are just a few of the courses you can get tee times for.
Take a Brew Tour
Beer. It's part of what makes life worth living. And since we have a few microbreweries here why not take a tour or two? Kannah Creek, Edgewater Brewery, and The Rockslide are just a few suggestions for you. Oh, and they have excellent food too.
Wine Tasting
The Grand Valley's wines are some of the best made, and what better way to find that out for yourself than taking tours and tasting wines? The perfect compliment to spring, because as the sun warms your body, the excellent wines here will warm your heart. Check out Two Rivers Winery, Carlson Vineyards Winery, or maybe Grand River Vineyards to get your taste buds singing!
Grand Junction Rockies Baseball
No better sign of spring than baseball getting started again. And this year's Grand Junction Rockies promise to be an entertaining team. As one of the farm teams of the Colorado Rockies, we get to see their future stars start their professional careers.
Biking
Get the bike out, grease the chain and the wheels and get to riding! There are so many great places for you to ride I don't know where to begin. Joe's Ridge Trail in Fruita is one of my favorites, but there are many to choose from, depending on expertise and time. Try one of the lunch loop trails for fun and riding enjoyment.
