The Enigmatic Movement Project (T.E.M.P.) will present a dance concert in the La Puerta Ballroom on Main Street on Saturday, November 8th featuring modern dance choreography and new contemporary poetry along with a wine reception.

The dance company is under the artistic direction of Laura Bradley (from CMU, as well as the Beyond Boundaries Dance Collective and Push/Don’t Pull Dance Theatre) and Ousa Hymas Samkara (also from Beyond Boundaries).

Bradley and Samkara will both present choreography, along with Denver-based choreographer Lynda White and local choreographers Sierra Myers and Analii Cunningham. Beyond Boundaries dancer DeeAnna Christensen will also perform a stunning acro yoga piece with Christopher Lepisto. Additional dancers performing in the concert include CMU dancers Jazmyn Phillips and Elvie Anable and Beyond Boundaries dancers Janae Steward, Vickie Thurgood, and Anita Fix.

Many of the pieces presented through out the evening will feature some kind of live text or musical performance. Kathleen Ruhleder from CMU’s Music Department will perform live alongside Samkara’s choreography. In addition, CMU English Professor Carol Christ will read new poetry live between dances through out the evening.

Audience members will be treated to a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception before the performance with an opportunity to chat with the performers. DJ Selector Trev (Trevor Adams) will set the mood of the reception both before and after the concert
