The Colorado Mesa University Art Department presents Existence, the second of four exhibits featuring artwork from seniors graduating from the BFA Studio Art program, in the downtown art gallery from March 1-26.
Existence will showcase the artwork of Michael Martinez, Lauren Stern, and Jenni Jones and will encompass a variety of mediums including printmaking, painting, and fiber arts, from both 2D and 3D perspectives.
Existence can be viewed at 437CO, CMU’s Art Gallery in downtown Grand Junction. As part of their “Senior Seminar & Portfolio” course, students coordinate the senior exhibits as preparation for future professional careers in visual arts.
437CO is located at 437 Colorado Avenue in Grand Junction, CO. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday 12-5PM and admission is free. On Friday, March 4 from 5-9PM there will be a public reception to view the exhibit and meet the artists, with an Artist Talk scheduled for 5:30PM. Wine from Carlson Vineyards and beer from Palisade Brewing Company will be available for purchase at the reception. For more information, call the Art Department at (970) 248-1833.
