CMU Wind Symphony featuring student conductors

The CMU Wind Symphony will present a concert on Thursday, March 20 at 7:30 pm
in the Moss Performing Arts Center Robinson Theatre, which will feature student
conductors Nick Gledhill, Dianira Luna, Lyndon Marshall and Tyler Clifton, all
of whom have completed the advanced conducting course and are pursuing upper
division studies.

The concert will also feature the third movement of “La Fiesta Mexicana” by
H. Owen Reed, one of the most prominent band composers of the 20th century. He
passed away in January and the symphony will honor him with a performance of one
of his most famous compositions.
