CMU Main Stage Theatre Arts Season closes with "The Shape of Things"

CMU will close its 2014-15 Theatre Arts season with Neil LaBute's The Shape of Things. In a modern version of Adam's seduction by Eve, The Shape of Things pits awkward Adam against experienced Evelyn. After a chance meeting, Evelyn and Adam embark on an intense relationship that causes shy Adam to go to extraordinary lengths to improve his appearance and character. Rated PG-13.

The Shape of Things will be directed by David Cox. The play will be Cox's last show with CMU theatre as he is retiring after 37 years as a professor of theatre at CMU. Audience members will remember Cox's immense talent as a scenographer and many will be able to recall their favorite set designs over the years. Also retiring this spring is costumer Heather Waggoner. Waggoner joined CMU's theatre department in the fall of 1995.
