Guest Artist Filip Lazovski presenting violin concert with faculty pianist, Arthur Houle

CMU’s Guest Artist Series will begin with a virtuoso violin concert presented by Filip Lazovski, assisted by faculty pianist Arthur Houle. The concert will be presented on Thursday, October 29 at 7:30pm in the Moss Performing Arts Center Love Recital Hall. Lazovski was born in Macedonia and began playing the piano at a young age before taking up the violin at age eleven. In 2001, he attended the Interlochen Arts Academy on a scholarship. He is a graduate from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York and received a Masters in Performance and Chamber Music from Kent State University as part of the Aidan String Quartet. Filip is currently pursuing an Artist Certificate at the University of Missouri in Kansas City studying with Benny Kim.

Tickets for the guest artist recital are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, faculty/staff and $5 for students. They are available by calling the Box Office at 970.248.1604.
