CMU’s dance program presents its annual spring dance concert featuring a
variety of dance styles—from Modern and Jazz to Tap and Contemporary. Colorado
Mesa University faculty and nationally-renowned guest choreographers along with
selected student choreographers have created a concert that has something for
everyone.

Choreographers include Colorado Mesa faculty Melonie Buchanan Murray and new
full-time faculty member Megan Glynn, along with adjunct instructors Abbi
Phillips, Ann Sanders and Connie Monroe. Student choreographers chosen to
present work in this concert are Jessica Vandermeer, AJ Labrum, and Allison
Duncan. Guest artists, the Beyond Boundaries Dance Collective, will perform a
work choreographed by Chicago choreographer Erin Rehberg, and for the first
time, a piece danced and choreographed by CMU alumni will be presented.

CMU’s guest choreographer for this semester is Jerome Alexander, a Los
Angeles based dancer and choreographer who has danced in music videos and live
stage shows for Beyonce, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Lil John, Sean
Paul, and Macy’s Passport Fashion Shows. He is the face of Dance Apps Inc., a
dance app production company, and has spent time dancing in Japan, Europe, and
Puerto Rico.
