Do You Remember When Fonzie Jumped the Shark?

It was the beginning of the end. For some reason it was necessary; Fonzie had to jump a shark. Why? Who knows. Take a look back on this not-so-monumental moment.

It happened during "Happy Days" fifth season, during an episode entitled "Hollywood: Part 3."

In show business lingo, "jumping the shark" has gone on to become an idiom for that exact moment when a television makes the transition from being good to being not so good. You know that unmistakable instant when your favorite show did something stupid and went down the tubes. That's "jumping the shark."
