A Cedar Rapids, Iowa couple that endured atrocious service while out for dinner let their server know they understood why.

Makenzie Schultz and her husband went out to eat to celebrate their sixth anniversary at a restaurant that was very undermanned. There was one waiter tasked with handling all the tables and he was overwhelmed.

Instead of the Schultzes getting upset with the service, they decided to reward the server, who they could see was hustling. Recognizing that they once waited tables and how thankless it can be, they dug deep into their pockets and left him a $100 tip, along with a note of encouragement that went viral on Facebook, which you can see below (Makenzie also discusses the incident in the video above).
