Miranda Lambert, meet + greet winners, and some guy shooting himself in the campground, oh my! Day two of Grand Junction's premier event, Country Jam 2018, is in the bag. Let's take a look back at this fantastic day.

Now that's what I call a Friday. Big & Rich, Josh Turner, the military tribute with the National Anthem performed by Caroline Gray, and Meet n' Greets. Typically, by day two, the event has its momentum and the crew at KEKB can let loose with swag, giveaways, and contests.

Earlier in the day, Cody had a chance to hang out with Josh Turner. Have you heard his voice when he sings on the radio? His voice sounds EXACTLY like that, even in a conversational setting.

We had the chance to hang around backstage for a few acts. The fun thing about that? Going out between shows and throwing out KEKB t-shirts.

As artists rolled through the media tent, we snagged them and had them sign the new KEKB sign from TE Metal Works. Once the Jam is over, we'll have this on display in the lobby at the studio.

Day 2 was our first big day for Meet n Greet passes. This time around, we used the KEKB Mobile App to conduct a scavenger hunt. See the Dodge truck to the far right in the picture below? I hid one of the scavenger hunt items in the secret compartment under the floor mat in the back seat. We sent out clues over the mobile app. It didn't take long for someone to find it. This was only one of several hiding places. When it was all said and done, we took several listeners backstage for photos with Big & Rich.

Each winner in the scavenger hunt received a pair of Meet n Greet passes. Meet the lucky winners.

Looking back on my 27 years at Country Jam, I would estimate today's weather to be the best I've ever enjoyed. Not too hot, not too cold, and even a few raindrops.

Day two included one bonus feature we've never seen before at the Jam. A guy in the campground accidentally shot himself in the stomach. That's new. The event was handled quickly and went unnoticed by the crowd.

It was an incredible day two. Can day three top it? Here in a minute, Tucker Beathard will be walking into the tent to hang out. Florida Georgia Line is coming up later. They just shattered their own record on the Hot Country Charts with Meant To Be. Just last night they announced their new album is in the works. We'll discuss it with them later today. Come join us for day 3 at Country Jam.
