County music fans are anxiously awaiting 90's super-group BlackHawk's return to Western Colorado with their performance at Major Mortgage Country Jam on Sunday, June 23rd. This is by no means BlackHawk's first visit to the Western Slope, and their legion of fans is amazing.

BlackHawk became fast friends with Western Colorado when 99.9 KEKB brought them in concert in April of 1994. The group was riding high with a long run of back to back top ten hits, and a self-titled double platinum album. People camped out overnight at the KEKB studios to be the first in line to buy tickets.

Unfortunately, when BlackHawk returns to Western Colorado next week, it will be without founding member Van Stephenson, who passed away in 2001.

Both legendary guitarist and vocalist Henry Paul and world-class songwriter Dave Robbins will be making their way to the Major Mortgage Country Jam stage at 5pm on Sunday, June 23rd. For the record, the gentlemen from BlackHawk are the nicest, most approachable artists in the recording industry. They have always been as dedicated to their fans as the fans are to them.

Make every effort to be in your seat and ready to go Sunday, June 23rd, at Major Mortgage Country Jam, when BlackHawk makes their return visit.
