Being in law enforcement has always been a difficult job as you're helping others deal with issues or possibly saving someone's life at any given moment. But over the past few months, it has been more difficult than ever. While we all know there have been a few bad officers that have been called out for bad behavior lately, there are even more good officers that show up every day wanting to do good for their citizens and the community.

This morning as I was looking through social media I saw something that caught my eye and I knew immediately that I wanted to share it with you. That is the "heart attack" that was placed all over the Mesa County Sheriff's Office located at 215 Rice Street in Grand Junction. It was tons of hearts and positive notes written to our officers reminding them how much we appreciate the work they do and how much we appreciate them.

While I don't know any Mesa County Sheriff's Office employees specifically I am so glad that some community members took the time to decorate their building to let them know that we support them. When I reached out to the MCSO to ask permission to share the photos with you I was also informed that this same "heart attack" showing of support took place in at the Fruita Police Department. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos from Fruita. But whoever took the time to support our officers, thank you, that was exactly what we should be doing right now.
