Community Invited to Forum to Review Clifton Library Designs
Would you like to take a sneak peek at the conceptual designs for the proposed new Clifton Branch Library? Community meetings are coming up next week.
With things being the way they are, these public forums will in fact be "virtual" forums. There will be a total of two such meetings open to residents of Clifton and Fruitvale areas.
As you've probably heard by now, Mesa County Libraries plan to build a new Clifton Branch on the five acres of vacant land at 3180 F Road. You'll find that on the north side of F Road approximately 2/10 of a mile east of Mount Garfield Greenhouse and Nursery.
This new branch, measuring roughly 20,000 square feet, is close to four times the size as the current Clifton library. The existing timeline has construction scheduled to begin in March 2022.
These forums offer the following:
- information about the project and the conceptual designs
- the public will be invited to comment online
- the public can offer feedback to be used to refine the eventual final design
The virtual forums will be held on the Zoom online meeting platform, and are scheduled for:
- Wednesday, December 2 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday, December 5 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Are you interested in participating. To me, this sounds like a wise investment of an hour of your time. To join in the forums, visit the appropriate date on the Mesa County Public Libraries Events Calendar. Once you're on the site, you find a Zoom meeting link in the calendar listing.
If you look at the two bullet points just above, you'll see the dates have already been linked to Zoom meetings. Simply click on the dates (December 2 and December 5) at the corresponding times, and you'll be redirected to the forums.
