I'm 6'1 so I could practically be covered by the snow that's forecasted for Estes Park this weekend. This weekend's snowstorm is shaping up to be one for the record books and one they'll be talking about for years to come.

According to Fox 31 Pinpoint Weather, the foothills and above are expected to get the brunt force of this storm with up to 6 FEET of snow possible from Estes Park up towards Longs Peak and Idaho Springs.

Boulder is forecasted to get between 3 and 4 feet of snow, here in the Fort Collins area, we are forecasted to "ONLY" get around 1.5 to 2 feet.

I'm actually looking forward to it. I'm taking the positive view of not having to commute to work or attempting to leave the house in a vehicle. (Could you imagine this coming on a weekday?) EVERYTHING would be shut down.

I'm stocked up and ready to play outside with my 6-year-old, we're planning on building a giant snowman and possibly a snow fort (depending on the type of snow we get).

The other thing I'm happy about and thankful for is the snowpack that our mountains DESPERATELY need, there wasn't much up there which could mean another horrendous fire season this summer...this should help a bunch.

Let's have a great weekend and get some cool snow pics posted, we should have ample opportunity to make that happen and have a little fun with this.
