Which Colorado Wildfire Burned the Most Acreage?

Changes have come to the top of the leader board over the last couple of years in Colorado as the wildfires seem to be getting bigger and bigger. For a short time, the Pine Gulch Fire that started North of Grand Junction was the largest wildfire to ever happen in Colorado until the Cameron Peak fire broke out about 6 weeks after Pine Gulch. Cameron Peak burned through 208,663 acres in total. The largest fire by far to date.

From the Granddaddy of them all, the Cameron Peak Fire, to the unbelievable Hayman Fire in 2002 that burned 137,760 acres, Colorado is no stranger to massive infernos. Of note is that some of the largest wildfires to ever happen have all been happening in just the last few years.
