
Why Is Colorado’s Southwest Arbor Fest So Popular?
By the time the end of April rolls around, Grand Junction is ready to get together outside and enjoy the spring weather. This often makes our Southwest Arbor Fest the first chance to come together as a community.

Everyone loves seeing friends and neighbors enjoying Grand Junction's historic Lincoln Park. This year's festival features several unique events for the public to enjoy free of charge.

Arbor Fest Theatre In the Park
Grand Junction's Southwest Arbor Fest returns to Lincoln Park on April 26th at 9 a.m. The event will include 'Theatre in the Park', featuring a 'Seussified' spoof of the Shakespeare-inspired Hamlet Hears A Who. Attendees can bring a blanket or a lawnchair for the 11 a.m. performance.

Craft Beer Tasting at Arbor Fest
Arbor Fest features an annual Hazardous Household Waste Collection Event on site that allows for the drop off of 28" tires, motor oil, and antifreeze. The popular Craft Beer Tasting Event will begin at 11 a.m. Tickets for the tasting are $21 in advance, and $26 the day of the event. Tickets are limited and include a collectible mug. ID is required at the event.

Arbor Fest Seedling Giveaway
The 2025 Tree Seedling Sign Up and Delivery is just days away. The sign-up for delivery opens on April 12th. Delivery occurs April 22nd and 23rd.
According to Grand Junction Parks and Rec, this year's varieties include: Gila Monster Gamble Oak, Manzano Maple, Mimosa, Mexican Blue Oak, Ginkgo, Chinese Pistache, Bur Oak, Shumard Oak, Shantung Maple, Shagbark Hickory, and Texas Red Oak.
