Each community does spring cleanup a little differently. In Grand Junction, the party is curbside March 30 to April 10), and in the city of Montrose, it is a weekend event. The Montrose 2026 Spring Cleaning event is coming up Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25. This city-organized event creates a one-stop disposal of approved waste and recycling. The site is in the lot across San Juan Avenue from the fairgrounds.

Montrose Cleanup Dates, Times, and Location

The 2026 cleanup event will take place on Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The site is designed to streamline traffic in and out of the site. Roll up to the drop off, unload in one stop, and remember to come back for some mulch. From April 30 to May 14, mulch that is created from green waste collected during the Spring Cleanup will be made available to the community for free. No limit.
