The Montrose Community Recreation Center (16350 Woodgate Road) features an impressive indoor aquatics center complete with two distinct, year-round indoor water slides. It costs $8 for adults to swim, $5.50 for kids. Prices are higher for non-residents. Check out the Rec Center amenities here. While there is no splash pad at the Woodgate Road facility, there is an indoor water playground.

The outdoor pool at Montrose Field House is one of the most family-friendly summer attractions in town. The seasonal outdoor water park includes a swimming pool, a large water slide, and a splash pad for younger children. The pool complex operates separately from the newer Community Recreation Center and is open during the summer at 25 Colorado Avenue in Montrose. Pools, waterslides, and a splashpad for young kids cost just $6 for adults, $5 for kids.

The Montrose Water Sports Park is one of the most unique water attractions in Western Colorado. Located along the Uncompahgre River in Riverbottom Park, the park is designed for everyone from families splashing in the shallows to experienced kayakers and river surfers. There is no admission fee to use the park or watch the action from the viewing areas. The Montrose Water Sports Park is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. most days and is located at  210 Apollo Road.

When the temperatures climb in Delta, the Bill Heddles Recreation Center is one of the best places to cool off. Located at 531 North Palmer Street, the center offers year-round swimming, toddler and lap pools, a wellness pool, a lazy river, a hot tub, and a sauna.  Adults can swim for $5.75, Youth for $4.50, and Seniors for $5.25
