Colorado Mom Wins $1 Million in Monopoly Game at Safeway
I've played the Monopoly game at McDonald's in the past and won a few menu items but nothing worth a whole lot. But I've never tried playing the Monopoly game at Safeway. There have been plenty of trips to the store where I have earned game pieces but more times than not I don't even take them from the cashier that is offering them to me. Although after hearing about a mom in Colorado who won $1,000,000 playing the grocery store game I think it's time to start paying more attention to the game and those pieces.
The details were first released by 4 CBS Denver, about Lori M. out of Denver who recently took home the grand prize of one million dollars just by collecting the game pieces while she went to the grocery store. Lori said that she won by specifically playing the 'Last Chance drawing'. The big check was picked up just yesterday by Lori and her family.
Lori did admit that she has been playing the game for years and had won quite a few of the smaller prizes, but never really thought she would win something big like this grand prize.
While she didn't expect it, Lori already has plans for that money which includes investing in her retirement and going into college funds for her children.
Hearing stories like this is just tremendous, this money will help this family so much and take a lot of stress off of Lori and her husband. After hearing about Lori and her family winning big, are you going to start collecting game pieces now? You can't win if you don't play.
