Colorado Mesa University has two sports that will finish up their respective seasons later this week. Both sports will do so in championship fashion, which is a first in school history.

CMU’s men’s soccer team will compete in the NCAA National Semifinals for the first time in the program’s short history. The Mavericks will play against the University of Charleston at 9:00 a.m. (Mountain time) on Thursday, with the winner advancing to the championship game on Saturday.

ESPN Radio 1230 will broadcast Thursday’s game from Louisville, Kentucky beginning at 8:45 a.m.

CMU’s men’s and women’s cross country teams will each make their first trips to the NCAA Championships, also held in Louisville, Kentucky.

Colorado Mesa is one of five Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schools to have both men’s and women’s teams qualify for the national championships. The other four schools are Adams State, Western State, Colorado Mines and Colorado-Colorado Springs.

The cross country championships are scheduled for Saturday.
