Colorado Couple Arrested For Dragging Horse With Truck

John and Amber Saldate have been arrested and charged with animal cruelty after a video surfaced showing them dragging a horse down a snow-covered road with a pickup truck.

The horse, Trigger is seen wildly trying to get away from the vehicle as it pulls him down the road.

A female voice can be heard as well cussing at the horse.

The owner of the horse realized a bit late that what she was doing was wrong:

“You make one bad decision sometimes and it can destroy your life,” she said. “I’ve lost my job over this; I’ve upset a lot of people, and I made our horse go through something that he shouldn’t have. You know, I was wrong.”

The Grand County Sheriff removed Trigger from the pair and he is currently being cared for at a rescue center. The couple have other horses that were not removed from them.
