A 17-year-old boy is currently in police custody after being accused of shooting and killing a man in Colorado.

The incident occurred on the evening of Monday, March 14, 2022, in Northglenn, Colorado at the N Line commuter rail station. This particular rail station is located at 11355 York Street.

The 911 Call that Landed the Colorado Boy in Jail

Police received a call just following the shooting and arrived on the scene the same night at 9:50 p.m. It was at this time that authorities found the victim of the shooting with what would eventually be the gunshot wound that took his life.

The victim of the shooting was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

In addition to tending to the victim of the shooting, police also found the suspect of the crime, a 17-year-old boy, nearby the scene of the crime. The boy was immediately taken into custody for his crime and remains there awaiting trial.

More to the Story of the Colorado Shooting

Although there is no clear motive as to why the boy shot and killed the man, it has been reported that the boy (the suspect) also tried to steal the victim's phone prior to shooting him.

Neither the victim nor the suspect's identities have been released and the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with further information is encouraged to contact the Northglenn Police Department.
