Hunting and fishing are a part of life here in Colorado and so many hunters and anglers have been waiting for March 1st. The wait is over and now hunters are able to submit applications for a big game hunting license. This year there is a slight increase for most licenses, and make sure you get your application in before 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7th. In years past you would have until midnight but not anymore.

Another change that begins this year is that small game and fishing licenses are now going to be valid for a longer period of time. Now all small game and fishing licenses will be valid for 13 months. So, the 2020-2021 fishing licenses will be valid from March 1st, 2020 through March 31st, 2021. If you're interested in the cost of an annual license, daily or multiple day license click here for the 2020 Colorado Fishing Brochure.

You can purchase a fishing license online by clicking here, but make sure you only purchase your license through the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website as we have all heard about scam fishing licenses being sold online for a higher price and those will not keep you legal when fishing on Colorado waters.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife stock 90 million fish into waters throughout our beautiful state to ensure quality angling opportunities. So get out there, have some fun and good luck. If you're looking for any more information about fishing in Colorado make sure you check out the CPW website.
