Shopping On A Budget In Colorado
If you have ever lived in a town that does not have a Walmart store, it's easy to get a little complacent with the big-box folks. I've lived in big cities and small towns, and while I don't shop for everything at Walmart, I'm much happier that there are a few locations around Grand Junction on the Western Slope instead of none whatsoever.
They have just about everything, and for the most part, prices are reasonable on most items. With that said, there are a handful of items you should think twice about before taking them up to the checkout.
Some Items Are Better Left On The Shelf
One item I refuse to buy at any big box store is any accessories related to my smartphone. Every item is locked in place on a peg in the electronics department at my local Grand Junction Walmart. You can't even really handle the item to be able to read the tiny print and figure out if a particular accessory even fits your phone. We all know someone who bought the wrong phone charger at a Walmart before. See what other items to avoid shopping for at the big box stores below.
