Changes Taking Place For Grand Valley Health Fair

The date has been set for the 2014 Grand Valley Health Fair in Grand Junction and a new location for the local event has been designated.The dates for next year's health fair will be March 21 and 22 at Two Rivers Convention Center. Previously, the event was held at Central High School.

Earlier this year, the health fair committee voted to discontinue their affiliation with the Denver 9HealthFair and become an entirely locally sponsored event.

Currently, some  forty community partners are engaged in the planning process with the mission to improve access to free or low cost screening and to promote health focused awareness among our diverse population. The 2014 Grand Valley Health Fair will also be aligned with the recently adopted Community Health Improvement Plan, a comprehensive set of recommendations geared toward improving the health of Mesa County residents, particularly those at greater risk of poor health outcomes.
