Celebrate Inauguration Day with a Look at Presidents Visiting Grand Junction

At this very moment, Donald Trump is being sworn in as President of the United States of America. Take a look back at several Robert Grant photos of Presidents as they pay a visit to Western Colorado.

My grandpa, Bob Grant, photographed several United States Presidents over the course of his five-decade career in journalism. Many of those photos were taken right here in Western Colorado.

Among those featured in the video above are Presidents Truman, Eisenhower, Ford, Reagan, and Bush.

Bob Grant photographed Ford so many times the President eventually got to know him by name. One of my grandpa's favorite sayings:

Take a little trip back in time. Look at the photos of the crowd attending Truman's visit. Some of the people in the crowd aren't even wearing shoes. This wasn't exactly a black tie affair.
