Bride and Groom Exchange Vows in Wrestling Ring
Most people get hitched in fairly conventional settings, but not this couple. No, no. Instead, this bride and groom tied the knot in a full-sized wrestling ring.
Turns out, the idea belonged to groom Mike Belcaster, who works as a time-keeper in bouts for Billy Corgan's wrestling company Resistance Pro. His new wife, Nicole, sells merchandise at shows. The couple got married in a ceremony at the Westin O'Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, that included specially-composed entrance music, full lighting and a real-life wrestling ring. Nicole said the wrestling-themed affair was everything she ever dreamed of.
"I never thought I would get married in side a wrestling ring, but it's something we both love. So, I couldn't be happier with how the day went," she said. "We both did what we love on our wedding day. So, I don't think you can get more perfect than that."
Obviously, both the bride and the groom completely missed out on the symbolism of getting married in a wrestling ring. Oh well, they'll probably figure it out eventually.
