Here are the next five contestants for Grand Junction's Best or Worst Street Names.

The first five were good, check out the link here to see those. Thanks to your suggestions, we have five more.

Here we go:

Sparn Street - Well, it's not a word in the dictionary. Maybe a historical name reference. But, to me, it's one of those giggle words. Say it and you giggle. Off of North, right before 29 Road.

Wasatch Street - Swatch would have made more sense. Naming it after the famous watch of the 1980's. Even Sasquatch would be fine. South of Orchard off of 28 1/2 Road.

Echo Street. Echo street..echo street.....That's funny. Not sure why, but I was surprised to see how short this street is. South on 30 Road, near Fenwick Lane.

Crete Circle - Perhaps named after the largest of all the Greek Islands? Didn't realize there was that much of a Grecian influence on the Western Slope. We even have an East and a West Crete. Gyros and grape leaves for everyone...on me!

Putter Drive - Really? Golfers enjoy this one. Putter AND Drive together? Classic. The only problem is this is not a side road next to the Redlands Mesa or Lincoln Park golf course. It's NOWHERE near a golf course, not even a miniature golf course.
