Best Campsite In Colorado
Just a few days after the Colorado National Monument was voted 'Best Place to Camp in Colorado', here comes another poll. Deslide.clusterfake.net is claiming that Pinon Flats is the best.
It would seem only fair that there would be several opinions on what is the best campsite in Colorado. Everyone likes something different when they camp. Water, quiet, views, weather along with a ton of other things to consider. Plus, there are virtually thousands and thousands of campsites in Colorado to choose from.
This website claims that the Pinon Flats Campground in the Great Sand Dunes National Park reigns supreme. This is what they wrote about this vacation destination:
'Colorado — Piñon Flats Campground, Great Sand Dunes National Park
Mountains of sand may not be the first thing that comes to mind in Colorado, but the nation’s largest dunes soar over 700 feet into the sky at this popular park. Eighty-eight sites in two separate loops accommodate tents or RVs, but your best bet is grabbing a free backcountry permit and finding your own corner of the 30-mile dune field for an otherworldly night under the stars.'
