On clear, star-filled nights, other than just stopping where you are to look up, where are the best places in Colorado to check the stars out?

I'm glad you asked because I wondered the same thing, so I checked it out, and put a list together to check out the stars and just relax.

Featured in a story on NBC's Today Show the residents made it possible to be able to see the wonders of the galaxy. Just at the base of the Sangro De Cristo mountains, Westcliffe is a town of 568 people. Now imagine living in a town where they block out all the light so you can see something like that. Way to go Westcliffe!

The park closes at the end of September, so you might want to get out there before then. Located in Southwestern Colorado, it doesn't get a whole lot better than this. The only lights you will see are the ones in the sky, and they are just breathtaking.

Located near the town of Calhan in northeast Colorado sits the Paint Mines Interpretive Park. Just take a look at this. Truly awe inspiring.

No matter when you go to the Maroon Bells, you are always going to see beauty and nature. But go at night, and you combine those things with some of the most amazing views of the night sky on the planet.

Located just outside Telluride, this has to be one of the most amazing ways to view the night sky. From an observatory. Awe inspiring.

Make sure when you go, you take plenty of pics and share them with us!
