Are You Supposed to Tip at this Fast Food Joint? [POLL]

Do you leave a tip when dining at Subway? If you are like most people, the thought probably never crossed your mind. Then again, in many ways it makes perfect sense. If you haven't been, should you start?

Next time you visit Subway, look and see if they have a tip jar by the register. When exactly when it be appropriate to leave a gratuity?

In a way, it seems reasonable to leave a tip. These are sandwich artists, just like the name tag says, who make your sandwich to your exact specifications.

Then again, do you leave a tip at McDonald's? How about Burger King? Keep in mind, at Burger King, you get to have it your way.

This brings up a very important question: do the employees at Subway receive a full wage, or does part of their income depend on tips? In Colorado, tipped employees can be paid as little as $5.21 an hour, despite the state mandated minimum wage of $8.23 an hour. In this case, obviously one should tip.

The employees at Subway are very cool, super-friendly people, who go above and beyond to create some remarkable sandwiches. Perhaps tipping is in order.
