A pair of pools in Salida and Fort Morgan, Colorado have caused grief for the American Red Cross. A person saw the pool safety poster as racist.

The American Red Cross poster, which is titled "Be Cool, Follow The Rules" , shows good and bad behavior taking place at a pool. The issue came up as one person noticed that most of the people that were acting "not cool" seemed darker than those people that we being "cool".

The Red Cross has apologized for the poster and removed it from their website and the Red Cross app.

The American Red Cross appreciates and is sensitive to the concerns raised regarding one of the water safety posters we produced. We deeply apologize for any misunderstanding, as it was absolutely not our intent to offend anyone. As one of the nation’s oldest and largest humanitarian organizations, we are committed to diversity and inclusion in all that we do, every day.

Do you feel it is a racist poster or just a misunderstanding? I remember being quite tan in my youth from spending all afternoon at the pool 6 days a week.
