It's common to look at vehicles on a car lot after hours. Looking is legal, but driving off in the vehicle without signing paperwork and paying isn't.

According to Crime Stoppers of Mesa County, a truck at Maxim Motors, 2850 North Avenue, was so appealing that those looking didn't want to wait until the dealership was open, so they stole the truck.
