5 Things That Could Go In The Old Hastings Building
If it was up to you, what would you put in the old Hastings building?
I was cleaning out my wallet over the weekend (think George Costanza from Seinfeld) and I came across my Hastings Membership card. My first thought was 'YES, let's go rent a movie!'
I'm talking about a classic movie. For me classic usually means anything that came out in the 1980's. I was totally leaning towards 'Revenge Of The Nerds.'
Then it hit me. Hastings is closed. I had forgotten. Then I was mad because I'm sure I had still had credit on my membership.
Renting movies here in Grand Junction just isn't the same. Nothing against RedBox, the $1.61 price is actually a pretty good deal, but you can't get any movie older than 2 or 3 years. There is no place to get the classics. Again, reference to any movie from the 1980's.
It is a shame to see that building stand empty. There are some new businesses in town. So, what would you like to see in the old Hastings building?
Some of my co-workers and I came up with some thoughts.
- CostCo
- Boys & Girl's Club
- Dave & Busters
- In & Out Burger
- Rec Center
