5 Reasons You Want to Catch Jimmy Buffett at Red Rocks in 2021
Great news - Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will be coming to Red Rocks in September 2021. Bad news - The reason they are coming to Red Rocks in 2021 is because they canceled their Red Rocks dates for 2020. Here are my top five reasons why it will be worth the wait to catch this show.
Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band were scheduled to play to sold-out crowds on September 8 and 10 of 2020 at Red Rocks, but due to the pandemic, those shows have been canceled.
With that, we present the new dates for Jimmy Buffett at Red Rocks.
- Tuesday, September 7, 2021
- Thursday, September 9, 2021
Why is there a day off between shows? Simple. Everyone will need it. Have you seen Jimmy Buffett in concert? Trust me, it's like a four-hour-long concert event. Between the energy and cocktails, by the time the concert is over, both you and the band need a couple of days to recover.
I've enjoyed the chance to catch him in concert before, the last time being at the MGM in Las Vegas. It was hilarious. If you were in Las Vegas that weekend, even if you didn't know Jimmy Buffett was playing a concert, you would have quickly figured it out. There were Parrot Heads EVERYWHERE. Four out of five people in Las Vegas that weekend were wearing Hawaiian luau shirts. Nearly everyone was either dressed as a pirate or at the very least had a stuffed parrot on their shoulder.
This show is not to be missed. Here are my top five reasons why:
- His musical influence has been around for five decades, and there's no end in sight
- This is one entertainer who knows how to put on a concert
- One concert with Jimmy Buffett is enough to purge any and all workaholic tendencies you might possess
- Catching Jimmy Buffett is on your bucket list, regardless if you know it or not
- Red Rocks and Jimmy Buffett is a match made in heaven
If you already have tickets for this summer's shows, you'll be getting an email from AXS regarding the new dates, with refund information if needed.
Sadly, you'll have to wait an extra year to catch Jimmy Buffett at Red Rocks. Trust me, it's worth the wait. You'll need time to put together your wardrobe and build up your Margarita endurance.
