Are you finding yourself craving a live show with one of your favorite local musicians? You can't go out to the club, but the show can come to you. There are a couple of live shows coming your way this Friday and Saturday featuring your favorite Western Colorado musicians.

If you're like me, you're already experiencing withdrawals. You want to enjoy a live show with one of your favorite local bands, but you can't. Guess what? Your favorite local musicians are in the same boat. Getting out and performing for you is what they live for. What are we going to do?

Chances are you've seen some of your favorite celebrities putting on live performances via Facebook. Tim McGraw did one the other day, as did Brad Paisley. Western Colorado musician Tony Rosario is doing a live show every day via his Facebook page.

Coming up this weekend, two of your local favorites are doing live shows on Facebook. One such show is coming up Friday night, April 10, and the other will be Saturday night, April 11. This will be just like any other weekend, except you won't have to leave home.

Friday Night

Gary Russell offers a live performance via his personal Facebook page this Friday night at 7 p.m. Featured selections include songs from Luke Combs, George Strait, Eric Church, Cody Johnson, Josh Ward, and Jon Wolfe.

Saturday Night

Gerry Goodman and Alyssa Jetmore, known by many as the duo Jetmore Goodman, offer a live stream this Saturday night on Facebook.

Here are my top five reasons why you should catch both of these shows when the stream live:

  • Everyone should support their local musicians
  • You can enjoy the same show you normally would, but in this case, you won't have to pay $3.75 for a beer. Stock up the fridge and enjoy.
  • No cover charge
  • You're guaranteed to find a good seat
  • No crowds, no risk of a DUI, and no background noise

Seriously, your favorite local entertainers are missing you just as much as you miss them. Performing is in their blood. Support them while they do what they do. Make plans to catch both of these shows over the weekend.
