Everything You Need to Know About the 2019 CMA Awards
The 2019 CMA Awards are right around the corner, and the details of Country Music's Biggest Night are starting to take shape. Taste of Country is putting together all of the information you need to know about the 53rd annual CMA Awards in one handy guide.
The show features award presentations in some of the most important categories, all-star performances, special collaborations and epic moments from your favorite country stars. The CMA Awards are generally considered the most prestigious awards in the genre. This year's broadcast will feature a Who's Who of contemporary country music, as well as some living legends.

The Date and Time:
The 2019 CMA Awards will take place on Nov. 13 and broadcast live on ABC beginning at 8PM ET.
The Location:
The 53rd annual CMA Awards will air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
The Hosts:
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley have co-hosted the CMA Awards for the past 11 years, but she is returning without him in 2019. Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton are set to join Underwood as special guest co-hosts this year as part of an emphasis on the women of country music.
The Nominees:
The Country Music Association revealed the nominees for the 2019 CMA Awards on Aug. 28. Some of country music's biggest stars will compete for honors including Song of the Year, Single of the Year and Album of the Year, culminating in the night's biggest award, Entertainer of the Year. Garth Brooks, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban are all nominated for Entertainer of the Year in 2019.
The Performers:
The Country Music Association announced Eric Church, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Maren Morris, Dolly Parton with For King & Country and Zach Williams, Pink and Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban as the first round of performers for the 53rd annual CMA Awards on Oct. 23.
Additionally Blake Shelton and Garth Brooks will perform and Shelton will perform solo. Kacey Musgraves and Willie Nelson will share the stage and you can expect massive all-female collaborations led by Kelsea Ballerini and Carrie Underwood. Ballerini's group of younger artists will perform "Girl Crush" while Underwood's group is set to sing a medley of female country hits.
Dierks Bentley will lead a collaborative tribute to Kris Kristofferson, singing "Me and Bobby McGee." Brooks & Dunn, Dan + Shay and Thomas Rhett are three more of the 18 announced performances.
The Presenters:
There are 23 announced presenters for the 2019 CMA Awards, including Reese Witherspoon, Vince Gill, Jimmie Allen, Martina McBride and Trisha Yearwood.
How the Winners Are Chosen:
The Country Music Association has its over 7,000 industry professional members vote in three rounds to determine the nominees and winners in the annual CMA Awards.
