Camp Off the Beaten Path in this 1883 Colorado Miner’s Cabin
The small town of Alma, Colorado was once a booming mining district. The famous London Mine operated in Alma from 1875 to 1942 and during its heyday, the tiny town even attracted well-known visitors, including Annie Oakley.
The tranquil Colorado town still makes for a fun place to visit, especially if you plan on spending most of the time outdoors hiking or doing other recreational activities.
If you do travel to Alma, be sure to stop by the post office at 30 Buckskin Street - it's known for being the highest elevation of any post office in the United States.
