Does your Fido or Spot or Fluffy have what it takes?

You only have until August 31 to submit your pooch pictures for the first Colorado Canyons Association dog calendar. And I didn't even know dogs could tell time.

There are some rules and stipulations. Pictures of your dog MUST be taken in one of the following National Conservation Areas:

• McInnis Canyons NCA
• Dominguez-Escalante NCA
• Gunnison Gorge NCA

Photos will be judged on the setting and the location and of course the cuteness of your pup. The CCA encourages you to get creative with your snapshots. Of course, should always come first.

A portion of the proceeds from the calendar will go to restoration work in the NCAs. There are also plans for a river restoration program to reintroduce the Dog Island campsite after the fire last year in McInnis.

So, remember 'Say Cheese.' Actually, would have to say 'Kibble?'
