The very fact we are having this conversation seems absolutely ludicrous, but we have to ask the question, would people from Grand Junction date someone after smelling their smelly t-shirt?

Believe it or not, there is actually a dating site that matches people based on body odor. The name of the service is called Smell Dating. Now we've heard everything.

Here's how it works, according to BuzzFeed.

Prospective daters pay $25 and receive a t-shirt in the mail with instructions to wear it for three days without deodorant or perfume. After three days, the t-shirt is returned, and the dater then receives the t-shirts of 10 people that were worn under the same circumstances for 3 days.

The "dater" then sniffs all of the shirts and picks the one that is most appealing. If there is a mutual match the daters exchange phone numbers. Hopefully, the daters will put their daily 'Biggest Loser' workout on hiatus during the three-day wearing period.

The good news is that this wacky dating service is not available in Grand Junction - only in New York City and it is limited to 100 people. It is possible, however, that there are some people from Grand Junction are participating because the other day I was at the North Avenue Walmart and I encountered a couple of people  that smelled like they had been wearing the same shirt for two weeks- or more!

I wonder if Smell Dating will catch on. Seems impossible, but in this crazy, mixed up, whacked out the world we live in, you never know.

Not only would I not want to smell somebody's three-day worn t-shirt, I certainly wouldn't even want to be anywhere near the person that was wearing the t-shirt for three days with no deodorant or perfume. Are you kidding me?

I am thinking that if I were single and my dating experience was based on smelling a dirty t-shirt, I'm heading to the monastery.
