If you attended last weeks Mesa County Fair, then you no doubt noticed the incredible selection of classic automobiles featured in the car show. What you may not have known is, the organizers of the event, the 'Wild West Falcons' car club, donated the proceeds from the car show to Western Colorado's Latimer House.

I had a chance to speak with Ted Boothroyd, the founder of the 'Wild West Falcons' and a victim's advocate with Mesa County Sheriff's Office. According to Ted, his goal was "to do something fun for the community and benefit an organization that does so much in the community."

The car show at the Mesa County Fair was designed to benefit the Hilltop's Latimer House, which provides emergency counseling, advocacy, shelter, and individual and group counseling, for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Mesa County.

When the car show was all said and done, Ted and the members of the 'Wild West Falcons' generated $1,600.00 for the Latimer House.
