If you visit Grand Junction area parks and trails, you notice several memorial markers paying tribute to lost loved ones. These can come in the form of a park bench, a tree with a dedication or a memorial walkway. If someone were to create a memorial for you, where in Western Colorado would like it to be located?

The Audubon Trail in Grand Junction features several benches made from stone, each including engravings and dedications to those no longer with us. Sherwood Park in Grand Junction has several trees planted in memory of those who have crossed our paths.

Both the Avalon Theater and Colorado Mesa University have walkways with bricks engraved with dedications. While not all of these bricks are memorials, many are engraved with "In memory of."

If you were to have a bench, tree, or plaque in your memory placed somewhere in the Grand Valley, where would you want it to be? In a park? On a trail? It wouldn't necessarily have to be in a public place. Perhaps at your favorite table at your favorite restaurant?

Please choose the location where you would like to have a memorial. If you don't see your selection, write it in. Please be as specific as possible; if your choice is a park, please specify which park.
