Temperatures are in the upper 70's in Western Colorado, and that means several things, one of which is yard sales. When you shop a yard sales, are there items you don't even consider purchasing? Is there any one item you would NEVER purchase?

The idea of purchasing used shoes at a yard sale leaves some room for criticism. Feet can be nasty, real nasty. That, plus the idea of a shoe failing to conform to a new set of feet makes the idea of purchasing them at a yard sale seem a bit questionable.

Antiques! Now you're talking. Those are great. Golf clubs? Great, too. Mattress? No thank you. Do you have any idea what people do to a mattress? Even when considering the best case scenario, the thought of things that can happen to a mattress are still kind of grody.

According to sheknows.com, there are ten things you should never buy at a yard sale:

  • Socks and underwear (no, duh)
  • Cribs and car seats
  • Mattresses
  • Pet toys and stuffed animals
  • Shoes
  • Computers
  • Video Games
  • Knives
  • Breast pumps
  • Upholstered furniture

Everything on this list seems pretty obvious, especially the one about breast pumps. The logic behind cribs and car seats seem pretty obvious, too.

Which ONE item would you never consider buying at a yard sale. Choose your selection. If you don't see it on the list, write it in, and it will be added.
