If you explore the trails on Little Park Road, then there can be little doubt you've encountered "Free Lunch". This is the trail closed to hikers and reserved for cyclists. What about this trail makes it so risky? Take a look.

As you can see from the video, the trail means business and is not for the squeamish. The path holds little appeal for the hiker or dog walker but has plenty to offer the cycling, enthusiast.

When hiking up to the head of "Free Lunch", you'll encounter various signs designating the trail as one of an extreme challenge. Signs also inform you the trails is reserved for cyclists.

To find the trail, head up Little Park Road, and park on the turnout on the East side of the road, directly across the street from the head for the Tabeguache trail. From this point, several loops will get you to "Free Lunch", but the most direct path would be the single track which heads horizontally along the side of hill on the West side of the paved road.

The hike up to Free Lunch is awesome for the general public. If you're cyclists, and want to ride the trail, you'd better be pretty good at your sport. Many sites, including mtbproject.com, give it a Double Diamond status.
