Wedding Bloopers Make for Great Memories

Maybe it's a sign.

Funny and strange things happen at weddings all the time. No matter how much you plan.

But, these incidents make for some great stories to tell at anniversaries and holidays. There were two weddings that I (Keyes) was a part of that have memorable moments.

The first was where the minister chose the incorrect last name to announce them as a couple. Somehow, he picked the bride's maiden name as their new married name. It was pretty funny hearing that and the entire church-going silent. It was actually the groom who laughed first and put everyone back at ease.

The second involved another friend of mine. I was third in line of the groomsmen and, we'll call him 'Steve,' was the Best Man. Well, 'Steve' had been out the night before much later than the rest of us and apparently had eaten something that didn't necessarily digest cleanly. To put it nicely, he was a little gassy. By little I mean a lot! He let one go and it literally filled the entire church. But, the funniest part is that the minister turned to the bride to be and asked her if she was feeling alright. He thought it was her!

So, plan, wish and hope all you want, you just never know what's going to happen.
