Have you ever wondered what's involved with raising the giant American flag you see at several Grand Junction events? It's no small ordeal, but the people in charge do an amazing job. Take a look at the process of raising the flag.

Obviously, where the American flag is concerned, there are several protocols which must be observed. Please note the blue starfield in the upper left corner. Also, notice how the crane operators go to great lengths to ensure the flag never touches the ground.

Okay, so it's a slow moving video. There is some painstaking work involved in insuring this is done properly. The crane operators from Sterling Crane do beautiful work.

At one point, you'll hear someone speaking in the background. You'll hear them say "That's Awesome."

Thank you to the folks that make this happen. It wouldn't be Pork and Hops without the flag.
