The 14th Annual Pumpkin Chuckin' Festival got off to a thrilling start Saturday.

Check out some of the action as I luckily had my camera handy.

No doubt that there was plenty of things to do and see, from the all day corn maze to the antique tractor. But, the real reason to be there was to watch pumpkins being launched into the air at great speed and for great distances.

The main attraction was the launcher that was painted like the Death Star from the Star Wars movies. It was awesome. Two guys from Boulder created this monster. It launches pumpkins at a minimum distance of 4,000 feet! It was unreal to see that in person. There is video, but it's difficult to see the pumpkins fly out, they were traveling THAT FAST!
