A post shared on the Fruita Police Departments Facebook page this morning by a family whose horse was found dead, pleads, "We found our beautiful Eroice dead leave us alone and please don't cut anyone else's fence."

This message had also been shared on the Mesa County lost and found pets page:

I think there is a special place in Hell for people that intentionally abuse/injure animals and it sounds to me like this "someone" has been terrorizing this family, I hope that's not the case!

Fruita PD posted this comment:

If anyone sees anybody damaging fences and intentionally letting livestock out, please call 911. This was in the 17 1/2 and L Road area.

The hearts of the community are going out to this family, and prayers that justice will be done to those that committed such an idiotic act of cruelty!
